Project Overview

The disastrous floods that swept through Southern Bangladesh late August 2024. Dreamers Bangladesh mobilised to quickly aid and provide relief to the tens of thousands of people that have been displaced and were in critical need of supplies. So volunteer teams organised by dreamers bangladesh quickly rose to the challenge and took up the task of supplying critical food and other materials to people in the most affected areas. The first wave of volunteers partnered with response teams from IUB to reach the remote areas in Cummila and Feni. The second wave went towards Lakhipur, Hajir Para, Horihor Chakra, Uttar Chandipur. Throughout the process our volunteer teams did their best to reach remote regions braving immense challenges. The lack of effective transport meant they had to use boats to reach trapped people. But our volunteer teams persevered and managed to provide critical supplies to 11,250 people. This was the largest project undertaken by Dreamers Bangladesh in our history and also the most successful.
